When I was in your position, before I learned how to quit smoking cigarettes in less than 10 days, I felt that it was impossible. I had been a smoker for 25 years and cigarettes felt as much a part of my life as did my own family. But I knew that I had to quit smoking so I would be able to enjoy my time here on Earth and spend it with those whom I loved so much without them having to watch me die in the hospital in my early 60's from those terrible cancer sticks, not being able to see my own grandchildren born.
So I took action, much like you will do after you finish reading this article, and eventually quit smoking cigarettes in less than 10 days, without spending half my paycheck on worthless patches or pills. here are some helpful tips that I know will help you on your journey to kick your deadly habit:
1) Drink more good ol' fashioned H20.
An old friend of mine gave me this tip and told me to drink plain water everyday so that my urine was clear...and I not only felt better and energized, but I didn't want cigarettes 'as much' as I used to. Try it.
2) Every time that you go to buy cigarettes, write down how much you spend/waste.
After doing this for a week, multiply that amount by 52 and see how much you are spending to kill yourself over a year. Think of how you could be using that money to put your kids through college or to help buy a better home or house. This was a real eye-opener for me.
3) Exercise everyday.
I know that this sounds cliche, but seriously, walk or run for a mile or 2 every morning and maybe do some push-ups or sit-ups after. You will not only look better but you will feel better. After I ran 1 mile every morning and did about 30 push-ups and sit-ups, I felt much more energized and better and felt that I didn't need to smoke a cigarette as much.
